Note these positions are unpaid and designed for individuals looking to add to their portfolio/being part of an emerging organisation focusing on empowering Muslim women and looking to make a difference.

Key Responsibilities

•  Research, identify and secure interviews with prominent and inspiring Muslim women from a wide range of industries.
• Conduct engaging, thoughtful interviews that uncover authentic stories, insights and personal journeys.
• Write high-quality feature articles that align with Muslimah's editorial tone and values.
• Pitch fresh story ideas, interview concepts and editorial series that resonate with Muslim women globally.
• Stay up to date with emerging Muslim female leaders, trends and current affairs.
• Fact-check interviews and ensure editorial accuracy and journalistic integrity.
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience in journalism, feature writing, editorial or digital media.
• Outstanding interviewing and storytelling skills
• Excellent written English with strong editing and proofreading abilities
• Ability to research complex topics and transform them into engaging, accessible articles
• Experience conducting interviews with senior professionals, public figures or industry leaders is desirable
• Degree in Journalism, English, Media or a related field is beneficial but not essential
